Behaviour Support
We provide specialist behaviour support for children, young people and adults who may have complex support needs, including challenges related to mental health, interpersonal trauma, relationship challenges and involvement with the justice system.

Our approach is based on Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and focuses on understanding the reasons behind behaviours of concern, improving quality of life, building skills and supporting meaningful participation in everyday life. We use evidence-based, person-centred and strengths-based approaches that recognise each person’s individual needs, preferences, strengths and goals.

Behaviour Support services are delivered by appropriately qualified Behaviour Support Practitioners who meet the relevant NDIS Commission requirements, where applicable. Our practitioners work collaboratively with participants, their families, support networks and other professionals to develop practical strategies that promote safety, choice, independence and quality of life.

Where a Behaviour Support Plan (BSP) is required, it is developed in consultation with the participant and relevant people in their support network. Where restrictive practices are relevant, these are managed in accordance with NDIS requirements, including applicable authorisation, reporting, monitoring and safeguard requirements.

Participants have the right to be treated with dignity and respect, to be involved in decisions about their support, to understand their Behaviour Support Plan, and to raise concerns or provide feedback about their services.

We provide NDIS supports across every state and territory of Australia, delivered by experienced local teams who understand the needs of their communities.
